01 — THE BRIEF
The buyer
The health-conscious scroller who’s bored of pastel wellness and hates being sold to. They want zero sugar and less plastic, but they’ll only buy it if it makes them laugh and doesn’t make them feel like they’re holding a seltzer at the show.
The job
Use comedy as the pattern-interrupt, let the label math do the selling, and give non-drinkers a beer-shaped can they can hold anywhere — so ‘better-for-you’ never reads as preachy.
Three angles
02 — THE STRATEGY
ANGLE 01 · META-COMEDY
An ad for water
The ad admits it’s an ad. The joke is Super Bowl production value spent on plain mountain water — deadpan does the work the black space sets up.
ANGLE 02 · LABEL EXPOSÉ
Milkshake in a trench coat
Us-vs-them on sugar: 40+ grams hiding behind a watercolor lemon vs. 20 calories of real brewed tea. A courtroom comparison the buyer can read off the label.
ANGLE 03 · IDENTITY
Hold your ground
A beer-shaped can that lets non-drinkers belong at the show. Sober-inclusion shot as a crowd moment, not a product moment — same silhouette, none of the Sunday autopsy.

We paid Meta an obscene amount of money to show you a can of water. Not a nootropic. Not a 47-adaptogen wellness dust. Water. From a mountain. In a tallboy that could beat up your other beverages. Zero calories, zero sugar, zero plastic — infinitely recyclable. Murder your thirst, or keep scrolling and let it live. Monster.

Your favorite bottled iced tea is a milkshake in a trench coat. Read the label: 40+ grams of sugar hiding behind a watercolor lemon. That’s not tea, that’s candy with a hydration complex. Ours: 20 calories a can, real brewed tea, in infinitely recyclable tallboys. 12 cans, $17.99. Your dentist will assume you’ve changed. You haven’t. The tea did.

Nobody at the show needs to know it’s water. Maybe you’re sober, maybe you’re driving, maybe you just refuse to feel like a haunted mattress tomorrow. So: a tallboy, covered in skulls, ice-cold mountain water inside — or 20-calorie tea, or a 5-calorie energy drink. Same silhouette as a beer. None of the Sunday autopsy. 12-packs from $12.49.

04 — KLAVIYO PROMO + WELCOME
EMAIL 01 · PROMO — SPARKLING ENERGY
Subject
5 calories of pure violence
Preview: The Super Bowl ad was the warning shot. The cans are here.

Note: comedy carries a real spec — 5 calories, less sugar — so the joke sells the benefit instead of hiding it.
EMAIL 02 · WELCOME FLOW #1
Subject
Welcome to the cult. Hydrate accordingly.
Preview: Rare, hilarious, and legally binding. One of those is a lie.

Note: the welcome email sells the mission (kill plastic) and the membership vibe — the only discount is a Subscribe & Save aside, because the brand is the offer.
05 — WHY IT CONVERTS
01
Comedy is the pattern-interrupt. ‘This is an ad for water’ stops the scroll where a wellness claim would get skipped — the laugh buys the next three seconds.
02
The label does the selling. 40g of sugar vs. 20 calories is a fact, not a claim — the buyer convicts the competitor themselves.
03
Identity beats ingredients. A beer-shaped can that lets non-drinkers belong sells a feeling ‘zero sugar’ never could, and it travels by word of mouth.
04
Brand and mission run one play. Every touch — ad, energy push, welcome — carries the same deadpan and the same ‘death to plastic’ mission, so the personality compounds.
